Owner of missing King Cobra pleads not guilty to failing to report escape

The Orange County man who owns the missing king cobra filed a written "not guilty" plea in court Tuesday to charges of failing to report the escape sooner.
Mike Kennedy says he came home on September 1st from a two day trip and found the snake had escaped from its cage.
Police say Kennedy spent the next 24 hours searching for the venomous 8-foot snake before reporting it missing.
He now faces a misdemeanor charge for not reporting the missing snake sooner and has to pay a $366 dollar fine.
