Orlando woman struck by bullet after shooter fires into home

An 64-year-old Orlando woman is recovering from a gunshot wound after someone fired into her home numerous times late Thursday.   The Orange County Sheriff's Office tells FOX 35 the woman was sleeping inside a house on Gander Avenue, near Killian Drive when someone outside opened fire.
Investigators say the woman was hit in the arm and taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. There were others in the house at the time, including several children, but no one else in the home was struck.  Detectives spent about three hours combing the property for evidence.  It remains unclear if this was a random or targeted incident, but deputies say the person, or people, responsible are still being sought.  Anyone with information is asked to call the Orange County Sheriff's Office or Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS (8477).
