Drivers will soon see big changes to traffic in Orlando.
Under a new five year deal the city may double the number of red light cameras.
The City Council approved the new deal Monday.
Officials say “American Traffic Solutions” will continue to operate and maintain all of the city's red light cameras.
Officials say they will also install up to 30 new red light cameras at intersections throughout the city, adding to the 14 red light camera intersections already enforced.
Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer says doubling the number of red light cameras is not a cash grab.
The city's contract includes an "out clause" just in case state lawmakers change the law or ban the cameras all together.
