OCSO: Deputy attacked in drug bust, father and son arrested

- A deputy is recovering Thursday morning after the Orange County Sheriff's Office says she was attacked outside a local fast food restaurant. 

The incident occurred at a Burger King on East Colonial Drive in Orlando Wednesday afternoon. Deputies are accusing one of the suspects of trying to choke an the deputy who was trying to arrest him after he tried to run away. 

26-year-old Benjamin Rauman is now charged with attempted murder of a law enforcement officer. He is also facing several drug charges. 

Rauman's father, 54-year-old Richard Frauman, was also arrested on multiple drug charges. 

Orange County deputies were called to the Burger King after a report of a suspicious vehicle, but OCSO says when the two deputies approached the suspects, the son tried to run away. 

Deputy Angela Keller chased the 26-year-old down, but deputies say there was a violent struggle and the deputy had to call for back up. An off-duty Orlando Police officer saw what was happening and helped arrest the other suspect.

Deputies say the father and son had 6 grams of heroin in their possession along with 15 hypodermic needles and cocaine.
