OCALA, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Ocala Fire Rescue responded to reports of a large grass fire threatening neighboring homes on Monday.
It happened in the 2000 block of SW 14th Street at around 1 p.m.
Firefighters attacked the fire, while paramedics treated residents for smoke inhalation.
Officials say although the flames destroyed a shed and miscellaneous items in a backyard, the main property was not affected.
Fire officials say 1,000 gallons of water was used to extinguish the fire. They say no one was injured.
The Ocala Police Department, Marion County Sheriff’s Office and Marion County Fire Rescue all responded to the scene.
