Some drivers could see a change in their morning commute after two exits on I-4 closed for good.
The Kaley Avenue exits on westbound I-4 closed down permanently Tuesday night.
Where the Kaley exit is now has become a battle for motorists As some merge from the 408 while other try to exit.
The Florida Department of Transportation says 6,000 cars used the two Kaley exits each day.
Now westbound drivers will have to exit at Michigan Street westbound and take side streets back to Kaley Avenue.
Long term, the I-4 Ultimate project will combine the Kaley Avenue and Michigan Street interchanges with one longer exit ramp.
The future interchange will include an easy way to get back to Kaley and will serve as an exit for both Kaley and Michigan.
Officials say drivers will be able to do a Texas style u-turn to access either street.
FDOT spokesman Steve Olson says get ready for more barrels and barrier walls.
This interchange re-do is part of the I-4 Ultimate project is expected to be complete by 2021.
