Medical helicopter struck by vehicle after responding to accident

A medical helicopter was clipped by a car as it responded to a crash early Wednesday morning.
The incident occurred just after 2 a.m. Wednesday with a crash involving a pedestrian near the Orange and Osceola County line. Deputies say a person was struck by a car on West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway near State Road 429.
Officials say an Orlando Health medical helicopter was called in to take the victim to the hospital, but when the chopper landed, it was hit by a car.
Troopers say Cameron Sunderly was drunk when he smashed through a roadblock and collided with the rear rotor of a helicopter. Sunderly has been charged with a DUI.
Both drivers remained at the scene. The helicopter was towed away from the crash to a nearby parking lot in Kissimmee.
The pedestrian who was injured was taken to the hospital, but no word yet on their condition. Both crashes remain under investigation.
