Man shot outside convenience store in drive-by shooting

- Holly Hill police are searching for the person who shot a man outside a convenience store Sunday afternoon.

Surveillance video released by investigators shows a man standing outside the store.

He suddenly gets on the ground and his drink rolls away.

That’s when the shots were fired.
“It was scary,” said Pooja Gandhi, who owns the Speedy Mart on Center Avenue with her husband.

She says she locked the doors when she heard the loud noise.
“He said, ‘Open up.’ And then I reopened and he came in and he said, ‘I got shot,’” she said.
Police say the man was shot in the arm and his wound was superficial.

Bullets also hit a car in the parking lot and a store window.

It all went down in broad daylight at around 12:45 p.m. on Sunday.
“Definitely makes me feel uneasy,” said Jessica Azevedo, who lives across the street.

She knows how busy the area can get.
“There are schools down the road, churches right down the road. The neighborhood is full of kids,” Azevedo said.
Police say someone inside a gray or dark silver Mini Cooper may be involved in the shooting.

In the surveillance video, you can see the car pulls up right before the victim moves.
Investigators are hoping the video could help them find the person who pulled the trigger.

Anyone with information is asked to call Holly Hill police.
