Local artist creates beautiful mural for Pulse victims

- A local artist is paying tribute to the 49 victims from the Pulse nightclub shooting and he hopes his message will be seen by people across Orlando.

Each red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple dove symbolizes the 49 people who were killed at the Pulse nightclub. "It's a rainbow flag coming out of the pulse symbol," said artist Andrew Spear. "The whole campaign is from the 'you matter' campaign but for this one we changed it to you mattered."

Spear says he got a call from Orlando Commissioner Patty Sheehan last week asking him to paint a mural in her district, and she wanted it done fast.

He along with a few others volunteered their time and in two days they finished it. The mural is located on the corner of Mills Avenue and Colonial Drive on the "I fix your I" building.

Kristin Lill-Marketing Director "I Fix Your I" (10:19:31) "He wanted a message that spreads positivity, energy, and love and I think we kind of accomplished that with this," Director of "I Fix Your I" Marketing Director Kristin Lill. "So we are really thrilled to have this on our wall."

The artist hopes people will take one thing from this. "Peace. Orlando has been through a lot in the last couple of days and this is what we do to make ourselves feel better so hopefully that will reflect on other people."
