Investigators search for gunman in Maitland shooting

- Investigators are searching for a gunman who shot a man outside of a hotel in Maitland.

Reports indicate the victim was shot three times while sitting in his car outside of the “Extended Stay” around 10:30 p.m.

Police believe the two men got into some sort of an argument.

The victim was shot twice in his torso and once in his leg.

After the shooting someone drove the victim to a nearby 7-11 gas station and called for help.

However, police officers say that they are getting conflicting stories at this time.

They also say the victim knows who shot him, but he isn’t cooperating with investigators.

The victim gave the police a brief description of the man saying the gunman is about thirty years old, and he was wearing blue clothing with a baseball cap.

Police searched the perimeter using a helicopter and flood lights, but there were no signs of the suspect.

The victim was rushed to the hospital and taken into surgery for his wounds. There are no reports on his condition at this time.
