VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Interstate 95 was shut down early Tuesday morning in both directions due to heavy smoke coming from a brush fire in Volusia County.
I-95 northbound was shut down at Dunlawton Avenue (SR 421) and I-95 southbound was shut down at I-4.
Heavy smoke in the area causing low visibility made driving in the area dangerous for commuters. Florida Highway Patrol says they're hopeful the sun will burn off some smoke in closed portion of I-95 and that they hope to re-open when that happens.
