The Florida Department of Transportation announced several traffic shifts scheduled to take effect Friday morning.
Starting Friday morning, commuters can expect a new temporary exit ramp from westbound I-4 to southbound Orange Blossom Trail (Exit 80.) This will require drivers to exit about a quarter mile sooner than the old exit.
This new exit will also create a new temporary traffic light on Orange Blossom Trail between the westbound and eastbound lanes of I-4. This new light will allow motorists to only turn left onto OBT.
Commuters driving northbound on Orange Blossom Trail will also see a change. Access to westbound I-4 from northbound OBT is closing long-term because of a traffic shift on OBT.
FDOT recommends that commuters continue northbound on OBT and use the westbound I-4 ramp from Kaley Avenue.
