Firefighters battle early morning house fire

- Firefighters are on scene of a house fire in Orange County where a homeowner woke up to the smell of smoke and was able to escape.

The call came in just before 3:30 a.m. at 2719 Nova Drive in Apopka.

Orange County Fire Rescue firefighters arrived on scene to a home fully engulfed with flames.

Crews were able to knock down the fire within an hour.

OCFR tells FOX 35 two pet snakes died in the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
