A father was shot and killed after walking his son to the school bus stop early morning, according to police.
Cocoa Police Department confirm that a 31-year-old man was shot and killed early Wednesday morning. The shooting happened around 7 a.m. at the southwest corner of Fiske Boulevard and Grove Street.
According to witnesses the victim had just walked his son to the bus stop when an unknown suspect began arguing with him. The man was shot multiple times. The victim managed to get back to his home and from there family members called 911. The victim was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Police are not releasing the name of the victim until next of kin is notified.
The suspect was on a bicycle and fled the area. No suspect description was provided.
