Deputies: Woman's car stolen by 14-year-old suspect, dogs missing

- Deputies are looking for two dogs who were in a woman's car after authorities say she was beaten and carjacked.

The incident began at a Sunoco gas station in Apopka on Orange Blossom Trail. It was there authorities say the 14-year-old suspect approached the victim asking for a ride. The victim agreed to give the suspect a ride, but then deputies say 5 minutes later the suspect allegedly pepper-sprayed and beat the victim before forcing her out of the car.

The suspect then took off in the vehicle with the victim's two dogs still inside. An hour and a half later deputies caught the suspect after a brief vehicle pursuit.

Investigators say the suspect did confess to the carjacking, but he would not give away the location of the missing dogs. As of Wednesday night Orange County Animal Control is still searching for the dogs.
