Orange County deputies said two teens wanted in connection to a homicide were arrested in Polk County after a pursuit.
Deputies said on Saturday, around 4:57 p.m., Polk County contacted them about a stolen car.
Based on the descriptions, deputies said they believed the pair inside were suspects in a recent homicide in Orange County.
Polk County deputies started to chase the suspects who crashed the car, officials said. Deputies arrested the 16 and 17-year-olds and deputies confirmed they were homicide suspects.
Both teens suffered minor injuries where they were treated and released.
Deputies confirmed to FOX 35 the teens were arrested for their role in the death of 27-year-old Kendra Lewis, who was shot and killed at a Citgo on Dec. 7.
Lewis was in the parking lot with her 5-year-old when shots were fired and she was struck.
Lewis died Friday when she succumbed to her to injuries.
