WINTER PARK, Fla.
Seminole County deputies have arrested a teenager after he caused a crash while fleeing authorities in a stolen vehicle, officials said.
It started around 3 a.m. Monday morning when an officer spotted a stolen Jeep near an apartment complex in Winter Park.
The Jeep sped away when the officer attempted to make contact with the 16-year-old driver, deputies said.
The teenager ended up crashing into a black Kia at the intersection of Eastbrook Blvd. and Howell Branch Rd., officials said.
Deputies said the teenager bailed from the Jeep and attempted to run from the scene, but was quickly captured and arrested.
He is faces several charges, including grand theft auto.
