Deputies searching for gunman after gas station shooting

Deputies are looking for a gunman who shot a man in a gas station parking lot late Monday night. The incident occurred at the Chevron on Silver Star Road just west of Pine Hills Road. 

This morning a 25-year-old man is recovering at the hospital while the gunman remains on the run. The moments leading up to the shooting remain a mystery. 

The shooting happened in the parking lot around 11:30 p.m. when deputies say the suspect shot the male victim. Investigators say the shooter sped off in a dark colored car, but they are unsure of the make or model. 

Investigators are also unsure of what motivated this attack. Authorities are asking for the public's help. Anyone with any information in this case is asked to call the Sheriff's Office or Crimeline.
