Man arrested, accused of shooting Osceola Co. deputy

Osceola County deputies are investigating a shooting that injured one of their own early Sunday morning.
Deputies said they were called to Sun on the Beach at 5770 W. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway in Old Town for a disturbance.
When deputies arrived, everyone was separated, but Deputy John Rios heard one of the men involved, Angel Lopez, 28, was armed with a gun.
When Rios attempted to detain Lopez, outside the bar, they started to fight and Lopez's gun went off, hitting Rios in the leg.
Rios was taken to the hospital, where he was treated and released.
Lopez, who is known to deputies as a documented gang member with an extensive criminal history, was arrested for attempted murder of a law enforcement officer, deputies said.
Lopez was taken to the Osceola County Jail where he will face a judge. The investigation is on-going.
