PINE HILLS, Fla.
Orange County deputies believe three separate shootings in Pine Hills are connected. Investigators tell FOX 35 that the first shooting occurred at 11:16 Thursday night in the 4900 block of Cortez Rd. Deputies said they met with a 27-year-old man who was suffering from non-life threatening gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment.
While responding the the scene, deputies discovered a vehicle had been hit by bullets. The vehicle was located at the intersection of Cortez Dr. and N. Pine Hills Rd., deputies said. Investigators said a woman states she had been driving in the area and her car was the target of a random shooting. The woman said an unknown whiter vehicle drove passed her and someone inside shot her vehicle several times.
Deputies said that during their investigation, they received a report that a 24-year-old man showed up at an area hospital with non-life threatening gunshot wounds. The man told deputies that the shooting happened "somewhere" near N. Pine Hills Rd. Deputies said the man refused to provide any other details.
Deputies said it is unclear what led up to the shootings, but they do believe they are connected. Detectives said there is no known suspect information. Stay with FOX 35 for the latest on this developing story.
