More than a dozen flights at Orlando International Airport are delayed Monday morning because of severe weather that is gripping the Southeast.
The majority of flight delays were to and from Texas, where at least 11 people died and dozens were injured in strong tornadoes that swept through the Dallas area over the weekend.
The governor of Texas has made disaster declarations in four counties and is warning that the number of victims from the storms could rise.
Days of tumultuous weather have led to a total of 43 deaths in Texas, Illinois, Missouri and the Southeast.
More severe weather is expected in the Southeast on Monday and that same system will bring rain and a cool down to Central Florida.
"There will be a decisive cool down for the New Year," FOX 35 Meteorologist Jayme King said. "There will be a good twenty-degree temperature drop from where we are now."
