Cub rescued from brush fire now at Tampa zoo

Smokey Jr., the black bear cub that was rescued last week from a brush fire in Lake County, has been taken to a zoo in Tampa.

Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo sent a few photos of Smokey on Tuesday along with an updated status.

The zoo says Smokey Jr. is eating well and is alert, but also very timid which is good news because it will help him when he is reintroduced into the wild.

Currently wildlife officials are still searching for the cub's mother.
