The latest I-4 Ultimate construction project is not only affecting drivers but downtown businesses too.
Church Street is closed and it won't reopen again for a few days.
Church Street detours coming from the west and east side of I-4 will be on Central and South Street.
Officials say this closure had to be done because construction crews need to safely remove the beams that supported the old portion of the highway.
Church Street from Hughey to Garland won't reopen until Wednesday morning and then will shut down again from 12:00 a.m. To 6:00 a.m. Through Friday.
Earl Burgman, of Chef Eddie's on Church, says he'll find out Monday if the construction will affect his business but says he isn't too worried.
"Since it's out on the other end, most of our traffic comes from this end so it might not affect us on this end that much," said Burgman,
Drivers who normally take the Church Street route and come in from the west side of I-4 should now take South Street and if you're coming from the east side you should take Central.
Pedestrians can't walk in this area either; they may cross under i-4 at Pine or South Street.
