Central Florida is getting closer to sending astronauts back into space.
Boeing gave FOX 35 a look at their plan to send a crewed flight to the International Space Station.
The company is building their “Boeing Starliner” at the Kennedy Space Center.
It is the first time a full production space craft has been built from the ground up in Florida.
The Starliner is being assembled in halves (a top and a bottom) to give technicians an advantage while installing all of the components before it is bolted together.
Once built it will be tested in California to see if it can withstand stresses during flight.
A crew test is scheduled for 2017.
