Police say a man who barricaded himself inside an Ocala apartment was finally arrested after a five-hour standoff on Saturday.

Investigators identified him as Earl Mozell, 30.

They say he barricaded himself inside the apartment with four young children and their mother.

Officers and members of the SWAT team say they were able to get the mom and children out safe early on in the standoff, but Mozell would not leave the apartment.

Eventually, investigators say they were able to break a window to get to Mozell.

They say he tried to make a run for it, but officials were ready and tased him.

Mozell was taken to the hospital to get checked out, before he was taken to the Marion County Jail.

The Florida Department of Children and Families is working with the woman and her four children.

Police say Mozell is charged with a felony warrant for aggravated domestic battery and resisting arrest without violence.

They say more charges could be added.
