Arrest made in shooting of 13-year-old boy

- An arrest has been made in connection to the shooting that critically wounded a 13-year-old boy on Saturday. The shooting, which authorities say was accidental, happened at a home on Spottswood Drive.

According to a spokesperson with the Orange County Sheriff's Office, two 18-year-old relatives started playing with a gun after finding it in the bathroom. The gun went off and the boy was hit.

Deputies later arrested the owner of the gun and the home where the shooting occurred, 35-year-old Walter Morame, who was not home when the boy was shot.  Morame was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Deputies said the victim was visiting the home.  He was taken to Arnold Palmer Hospital and was last reported in critical condition.
