Accused killer Markeith Loyd faced judge Saturday

- Accused cop-killer, Markeith Loyd showed up to court Saturday morning at the Orange County Jail.

"Good morning, Mr. Loyd," A judge said to Loyd Saturday morning.

Cuffed and Flanked on all sides by officers, Loyd didn't say a word in court Saturday morning.

He is facing new charges stemming from a separate case in August of 2016.

"Three counts of aggravated assault with a firearm," A judge said Saturday morning.

That alleged crime happened months before the deaths of his ex-girlfriend and of Orlando Police Lieutenant Debra Clayton.

Loyd is facing charges in connection with their deaths as well.

He was scheduled to appear Friday, but he did not show up.

Loyd's silence Saturday was is in stark contrast to his recent court appearances.

He threw profanity at a judge during his appearance Wednesday morning and cursed out a judge on January 19th.

Loyd's legal situation wasn't talked about Saturday.

The judge said, "The issues of counsel will be addressed by Judge Lauten in the underlying case."

Loyd is in jail on no bond.
