VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Volusia County deputies announced they have arrested the gunman in a nightclub shooting from last month after they ID'd him in a YouTube video from the party.
Deputies say Shantonio Kemp, 25, is responsible for hitting a bystander in the leg with a stray bullet.
The shooting happened July 22 at Coco's Night Club near Ormond beach. Around 2 a.m., deputies patrolling in the area heard several gunshots.
As deputies arrived on scene they located a 24-year-old woman who had been shot in her thigh. Her injuries were not life-threatening.
Throughout the investigation, deputies determined that the suspect was wearing clothing with flamingos on it.
A video of the party was posted on YouTube where deputies noticed the suspect in the video wearing a flamingo-print shirt.
Kemp was located in Palatka and was taken into custody.
Kemp is being held in the Volusia County Branch Jail on a $50,000 bond facing a charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
