ORLANDO, Fla. - The 5th Annual Quad Ruby Fundraiser took place Saturday to help raise money for rugby players with disabilities.
The Orange County Clash held it's annual fundraiser at the Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church.
This fundraiser is a chance to raise money for equipment and travel expenses for the players.
Many participants say the sport has helped them fulfill their desire to compete for the first time since their disability. Leaders also say the fundraiser helps raise awareness in the community of the importance of adaptive sports.
The Orange County Clash team is made up of athletes with physical disabilities. The sport is played in specially designed wheelchairs and is highly competitive.
