5 crashes at Fairbanks curve; Road ranger truck hit

Troopers are urging motorists to drive safely during the Thanksgiving travel period.

Troopers say a total of 10 vehicles, in 5 separate crashes, with 6 people transported with minor injuries, occurred Thursday morning in the Fairbanks curve.

The first crash occurred at 8:20 a.m. and involved a vehicle vs. guardrail.

Four crashes occurred after the initial crash, according to FHP.

The fourth crash that occurred involved a road ranger truck that was set up. A vehicle lost control and struck the truck.

The road ranger was not in the truck at the time of the collision.

FHP says speed is a factor for these crashes.
