VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. - Southbound I-95 was shut down for several hours Wednesday night after a serious crash.
Volusia County fire officials say that a semi and another vehicle crashed near mile marker 269 around midnight.
The crash caused the semi to flip over.
The driver of the semi was pinned inside the cab and had to be rescued by firefighters, authorities say.
She was injured and flown to Halifax Hospital to be treated, according to Volusia County Fire Rescue.
Officials say the driver of the other vehicle attempted to leave the scene of the accident, but was caught and arrested.
Two lanes of the road reopened around 2:00 a.m.
Officials say the road should be completely reopened 6:00 a.m. Thursday morning.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
