Several counties issue curfew in regards to Hurricane Matthew

UPDATE (2 p.m. Friday) - Both Orange and Seminole County has lifted their curfew as of 2:00 p.m. Friday afternoon. 

ORIGINAL STORY - Below is critical information released by the various county officials in regards to shelters, curfews, voluntary evacuations, and the citizen's information lines. 

VOLUSIA COUNTY

CURFEW

The County Manager and the County Sheriff have issued a mandatory curfew for Volusia County effective at midnight tonight through 7 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 8.

For elderly, physically, mentally or sensory disabled, visually or hearing impaired residents or those who need supplemental oxygen. Caregivers should plan to stay with their person with special needs. SpNS are not for people who need 24-hour dedicated care, a hospital bed, ventilator, other complex care or isolation patients. These individuals should discuss other shelter arrangements with their physician or home health service provider or caregiver.

SEMINOLE COUNTY

EVACUATIONS
A voluntary evacuation is now in effect for all manufactured homes, mobile homes, and low lying areas. A Reverse 9-1-1 call will be made to landlines and registered cell phone in these areas.

CURFEW
There is a curfew in effect from 5:00AM Friday through 7:00AM Saturday. Please stay off the roads.

If you have special medical needs, you and your caregiver are allowed at a Special Needs Shelter. If you do not have a special medical need, a General Population Shelter is where you should go.

FLAGLER COUNTY

CURFEW

 Flagler County Commissioners have enacted a mandatory curfew in advance of Hurricane Matthew. It will be between the hours of 7pm and 7am. Law enforcement will not hinder people from evacuating. However, anyone caught loitering by law enforcement could be charged with a misdemeanor. This will be a daily curfew until further notice.
 
ALCOHOL SALES BAN
 
            In addition, all alcohol sales in Flagler County will be suspended effective immediately and will remain in place until the emergency declaration is lifted.

SHELTER INFORMATION
 
Rymfire Elementary, located at 1425 Rymfire Drive, Palm Coast, will accommodate those with special needs - people who require assistance with daily living or who have medical conditions that prevent or hinder their ability to care for themselves, as well as those who require electricity for oxygen. A family member or caregiver should stay at the shelter with the individual.
 
Bunnell Elementary, 305 N. Palmetto Street, Bunnell, will accommodate other residents who have no other place to go. Pets - dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, rodents and turtles - are the allowed pets. There is a four-pet maximum. Pet owners should bring current vaccination records and supplies, including crates and medications.

ORANGE COUNTY

CURFEW

Orange County has enacted a curfew from 10 p.m. on Thursday until 7 a.m. Saturday.
