ORLANDO, Fla. - Today Florida Citrus Sports and the Atlantic Coast Conference announced that the ACC Championship game will be held at Camping World Stadium.
The 2016 Dr. Pepper ACC Football Championship will be held the evening of Saturday, Dec. 3.
The game was moved from its previous location in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Tickets will be available to the general public on October 10 at 10:00 a.m.
Florida Citrus Sports members, and patrons who already purchased tickets to the Charlotte game will have the opportunity to get their tickets starting October 5.
“We’re thrilled to bring more bigtime college football to Orlando,” said Steve Hogan, CEO of Florida Citrus Sports. “The Atlantic Coast Conference has been a tremendous partner of ours for decades and we are grateful for the opportunity to bring their showcase football event to Camping World Stadium.
“Landing the ACC Football Championship is a victory for our community,” said City of Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer. “It's another sign that Orlando is becoming the nation's leading sporting-event destination, a marquee game that will keep our local economy buzzing by bringing visitors to our hotels, restaurants and shops and also shows that our investment in modernizing Camping World Stadium is paying off.”
