Man arrested for impersonating police officer

- St. Cloud police have arrested a man for impersonating a cop and stalking.

Two women called 911 Tuesday night to report that a man was following them and trying to lure them into his Hyundai Santa Fe SUV.

The women reported to police that the man told them he was a police officer and needed to see their driver’s licenses.

When the women asked to see his badge, he refused, saying he was an undercover police officer.

Police were able to locate the suspect, identified as Ramy Nashaat-Yousef Hanna, as he was trying to leave the area.

When police searched the SUV they found four rolls of plastic painter’s drop cloth, a pair of shoe guards, and a clear plastic poncho in the back seat.

Hanna was arrested and charged with impersonating a law enforcement officer and stalking.

He is in the Osceola County Jail on a $3,500 bond.
