ORLANDO, Fla. - Orlando International Airport continued seeing record growth in July, according to officials.
July airport traffic was up 8.2 percent in from July 2014, boosted by record numbers of international travelers.
Frank Kruppenbacher, Chairman of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority said, “We are averaging over 112 thousand passengers every day. These are numbers typically associated with peak holiday traffic, however we are seeing this level of activity year-round.”
Airport officials expect this growth to continue as they add new services including flights to Dubai, Wales, and Iceland.
The airport is on track for a record breaking year.
They've already had over 37 million passengers come through, a 6.6 percent increase from last year.
