ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. - The City of Altamonte Springs is partnering with Uber to save commuters money. Starting Monday, the city will pay 20 percent of the cost of all Uber trips starting and ending in the city limits.
As an added benefit to encourage ridership for SunRail, all trips starting or ending at the Altamonte Springs SunRail station will receive a 25 percent discount.
The partnership is part of a one-year pilot project to determine the impact that ride-sharing technology can have on the City's overall mobility plan.
Altamonte Springs Mayor Pat Bates will make an official announcement about the partnership during a news conference Monday morning.
