Rare snow falls on Las Vegas Strip

The U.S. gambling mecca got a winter blast earlier this week when about four inches of snow hit the famous Las Vegas Strip and other surrounding areas.

The snow served up a virtual color show in the air as it reflected the bright lights of the casinos and hotels.

Locals took their kids to area parks for the rare chance for snowball fights, sledding and snowmen building.

Temperatures in the Las Vegas area are expected to stay abnormally cold and another weather system could head that way by Wednesday possibly dropping even more snow onto Sin City.
