10 hurt in after extreme turbulence on Philly-bound flight

Ten people—three passengers and seven crew members—have been hospitalized after experiencing extreme turbulence on a flight that, ultimately, landed safely in Philadelphia on Saturday afternoon.

On Sunday, one of the passengers, Ervin Fang, took to Twitter to share video of the frightening experience.

American Airlines Flight 759 landed at Philadelphia International Airport at 3:10 p.m., with 299 people on board at the time—287 passengers and 12 crew members.

The flight was returning to Philadelphia from Athens, Greece when it encountered extreme turbulence prior to landing. The seatbelt sign was on at the time, according to the airline.
