Gondolas will transport Walt Disney World guests between the parks and hotels next fall

On Wednesday, Bob Chapek, the Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Consumer Products, announced that the Disney Skyliner will soon transport Walt Disney World Resorts guests around.

Starting in the fall of 2019, Bob says that the gondola system will connect Disney's Hollywood Studios and Epcot to four resort hotels: Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, and the proposed 15th Disney Vacation Club property, Disney’s Riviera Resort.

The gondola will also offer guests a whole new way to experience Walt Disney World. Bob says that they will provide amazing views only available from the sky. For example, guests arriving at the International Gateway station will travel through the trees and be welcomed into Epcot with remarkable, never-before seen views across the World Showcase.

Workers have reportedly just installed the last support tower and are beginning to threat the series of reinforced cables to carry the guests in the gondolas.
