Stars of Marvel's "Avengers" make a surprise visit to a teen battling cancer

- These Marvel superheroes assembled to make a fan's dream come true. 18-year-old Ryan Wilcox is battling cancer and was in need a boost from his favorite Avengers.

When the world's biggest Captain America fan went to get the door he was ill-prepared for the trio on the other side. Greeting him were the stars of the hit movie series Chris Evans, who plays Captain America, joined with Robert Downey Jr., who plays Iron Man, along with Gwyneth Platrow, who plays Pepper Potts.

After hearing of their fan struggling with cancer, the trio decided to make a little time for the young man who has spent a lot of time watching their films.

"I know I'll never forget; it was too good of a day," Wilcox said.

It all started at a rally at Grossmonte High School to help support Ryan in his fight against cancer which helped gain the attention of the Hollywood stars.

"They're all so great," Wilcox said. "I would like to say thank you for taking the time out to come see me and that was a highlight."
