Dana Jay joined FOX 35 as a general assignment reporter in August 2013. Having lived in the Midwest all her life, she was excited to venture south to a place where she doesn't expect to have to wear a down coat and snow boots to bring you the news.
Dana moved to Orlando from Columbus, Ohio, where she was a general assignment reporter with an emphasis on government and politics. She covered the Ohio Statehouse and was the lead reporter for ABC 6 and FOX 28 during the 2012 presidential election. Dana also reported on other high-profile stories like the escape of 56 exotic animals from a farm in Zanesville, Ohio and the trial and conviction of two Steubenville High School football players whose crime went viral via cell phones and social media.
Dana has also worked in Illinois and Missouri.
Dana is a native of Chicago's northwest suburbs. She studied public affairs reporting while earning a master's degree in Journalism.
Her work has been recognized by the Illinois Associated Press.
